Final Note Since I first left canada for a trip I've always come home feeling so fortunate for the life I have and we, my wife and children have. I think that's been the greatest reason I travel so much. Not just to learn and see our beautiful planet, the monuments, and landscapes and cultures but to also appreciate what I have here. I'm not sure about any one else but there certainly was a few times where I just couldn't bear the poverty. Day in and day out it was evident and although you have to harden yourself a little I won't lie there was a few times where it just hit me, and would literately bring me to my knees and break down. It's a tough world out there. with that being said I thought I'd put this photo last. This is the first time I've ever posted it but I think it's an important shot. I've seen quite a few genocide memorials, or site in my life but this was truly the hardest day and most "real" example I've ever experienced. Please don't look forward if the signs of bodies disturbed you but this was taken inside the Ntarama, at least thats what I believe it to be from memory. Located about 1-2 hours from Kigali it was one example of a mass murder. People were hiding inside when the attack came from the surroundings and killed everyone inside. You can still see the children's shoes and belongings alongside their bodies. It took me days to get this image out of my head.
