Steve and Fiona got married high in the Hinterland of Queensland in Australia and it’s truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever traveled to. Overlooking the sea on a very warm spring day they shared their wedding with close family and friends who had traveled from around the world to be there with them. Fiona is from Australia and spent most of her life in this area before meeting Steve while he was working in Queensland. They have both since moved to Canada where Steve is from but thought there would be no better place to share their vows than back in Australia.
My wife Colleen and I had taken an extra nice days before the wedding to rent a campervan and tour the coastline which was simply perfect! While exploring we saw kangaroos nears Coffs Harbour, watched surfing at Bryon Bay, paddle boarding every morning in Noosa, swimming in waterfalls near Montville and barbecues every night at sunset, I can see why people love to travel there.
Traveling from Sydney to Brisbane along the water we had no idea what to expect when we made the drive inland to Flaxton Gardens and the “Range”. With the rolling hills and lush forest it was like entering a new part of the country and high atop you have the most spectacular view of the Glass House Mountains and the coast.
I cannot thank Fiona and Steve enough for making me a part of their wedding and I hope these few images give you a great feel for what it was like. It’s always so exciting to bring my vision to a special place in a new country.
