I first traveled to Scotland nearly 15 years ago and I remember then how amazing and wonderful that country is. Tannis and Jimmy truly love this country so much and you can tell that it speaks to them.
Being asked to shoot abroad is such a special request that I take so seriously. As an avid and well seasoned traveler I appreciate the locations I see and the magic and characteristics that make each country special and unique. I wanted Tannis and Jimmy’s portraits to not just be beautiful but have a “scottish” feel. I wanted to explore the highlands and make the scenery as much the focus as the two of them.
On this particular trip I asked a close friend and amazing photographer to join me. Kelly Redinger, who also enjoys a dram of scotch and is my partner in crime on our photography podcast, The Lonely Photographers, and he jumped at the chance. Kelly has an special talent and truly complimented me and brought a new vision and style to the wedding. Thanks for everything Kelly!
I have a huge list of thank you’s to send out:
The Plockton Hotel for making our stay so memorable and making us feel like family and not just guests.
The Eilan Donon Castle for making us all feel like royalty for a few moments.
Ian, the best Piper in the Highlands!
And of course to Tannis and Jimmy who made our trip up to the Isle of Skye one I’ll never forget! Thanks You!
