I had a great opportunity to make the drive to Fort McMurray this past week. For those who didn’t know it, I was raised up there and spent some incredible times in the mighty north. I don’t get a chance to go nearly as often as I’d like, only about once a year it seems but every time I drive into town I’m reminded how beautiful it really is up there.
Two massive rivers converge in the valley and if you want to enjoy the summer nights there is truly no better place than the Mac. I really enjoyed staying up late while the sun shines and the warm air is still present into the wee hours of the am. Really incredible!
Like most trips back home I find myself going up to shoot. This time it was to spend some time with families and this session with friends Kieley and Steve. I have only known these two for about a year, having met Steve a few years back playing Slo-pitch and getting to know them better last year when we went to Edson for their famous tourney (champs in our division two years straight!..Go ChickenHawks!). Kieley and Steve are just awesome, they laugh all the time and are just as much fun to be with as the pictures suggest. We spent a fun filled evening shooting through-out the city and up near the sites, got kicked out of a spot and finished the night with a cold one while the sun was still going strong.
I really hope you guys enjoy what we came up with and I can’t wait to hop on that plane to your wedding in Newfoundland this fall!
