It’s been far too long to wait to post this blog but I wasn’t about to post it before I made sure that Jodi and Troy saw everything first of course. I don’t think that would have been cool of me.
When Jesse and I first arrived at the Barcelo resort less than two months ago I knew I was in for a fun filled wedding week. Jodi and Troy chose Cabo San Lucas for their wedding and it really was a fantastic location and awesome experience. My wife Colleen and I got married in Costa Rica many moons ago and what I remember most about our wedding was that it was so fun to have close family and friends share a full week with us. I think Jodi and Troy really felt the same way. Each day the group chilled in the pool, took an excursion, or watched the Bruins and the Canucks bash each other around. It was a great chance to see and spend time with the people you love.
The wedding day it self was super fun. The weather was hot but not too hot, and for a shoot I skirted around the typical beach and resort shots, which we got plenty of course, but Jesse and I had scouted the area nearby and found a neat little side street with an old abandoned condo complex to wander through. In retrospect we maybe should have avoided the condo “ruins” and maybe wore steel toe boats (haha),but the six of us were ready for the adventure. Jamie and Kara, the maid of honour and best man respectively kept busy exploring and scaling the roof , and maybe even wearing a new years eve hat, while we shot in some really tight and funky spots. It was exactly what I was looking for.
I’ll let the rest of the photos speak for themselves, and these are of course just a taste of the day. We can’t thank you enough for bringing us to Mexico and cabo San Lucas to shoot your wedding. Your friends and family made us feel like a friend and family and I truly appreciate it. We hope you love the images as much as we do and thanks so much again.
