Heather and Alejandro chose the wonderful Rocky Mountains to have their wedding and can you blame them? Living in California and with family all over the world this made for a great destination for all their guests to join them. What made this session more unique for me is that I did not actually shoot their wedding but was so lucky enough to be asked to shoot a day after session with them, well two two days after session. I made the trip down shortly after their wedding and we met in Field BC, and then to Emerald Lake to take advantage of one of our typical fall days. What started out with rain ended with the sun peeking out near sunset and for me that’s wonderful variety.
If you have not been to Emerald lake yet then put it on your bucket list. I’ve wandered up here a few times before, once for a short hike a few others a tourist just to look at the lake and take a pit stop while on my way to see family and friends in interior BC. The water truly is that amazing colour and the Emerald Lake Lodge juts out into the lake like out of a storybook. I can see why they wanted so badly to get married in this part of the world. Thanks so very much for making me a special part of your wedding and for braving the frigid waters at the tail end of our shoot. Enjoy the artwork!
