What could be better than sharing your anniversary with fresh air and a spectacular glacier in the backdrop? Anna and Rylan are avid hikers and wanted to do something magical to celebrate after what was a crazy pandemic. We decided to find a beautiful spot in the Canadian Rockies that was both a great hike and offers breathtaking vistas. What do you think?
When Anna first contacted me we discussed a number of potential hikes throughout the Bow Valley and the Icefield parkway and I found this gem near the word famous Athabasca Glacier. I must admit that is was probably one of the best mid range hikes and the entire hike was beautiful. I’m not sure about the rest of you but as much as I love exercise I also want to enjoy the views throughout the whole walk. This was amazing and had so many perfect views along the way. Even a few Sheep to say hello to.
If you have ever considered doing something like this please feel free to connect with me with any questions at all. BC and Alberta have so many places like this and we work together to find a hike that is a fit for everyone. Anna and I started at Bow Lake for a few photos as it’s such an accessible location before packing our bags for a great hike.
