Highland hills and shaggy cows – 10 days through Scotland – Fine Art Photography

I have been so very lucky in my life to travel so extensively. This trip to Scotland in July 2013 marked my third visit to this amazing country and once again a very different experience than the previous two adventures. I was there last year (see 2012 trip here) with my great friend Kelly and we really did a whirlwind of a trip. Kelly joined me again and What makes this trip so different was that we pre-marked a few spots on our maps and took more time sitting still in areas rather than flying through. It allowed us a chance to absorb more of a specific area. Some of the highlights from our trip were hiking Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest peak, hiking The Old Man of Storr, touring the island of Mull, ghost tour, relaxing in Edinburgh, hiking Arthurs seat, seeing the famous Harry Potter train and railway brudge, laying lower on the distillery tours (I could do a whiskey tour at this point.lol) and just sitting and enjoying a coffee rather than driving continuously. All of these highlights, albeit amazing, rank second to our last days stop, visiting Castle Doune or for you fellow Monty Python fans Castle Anthrax. It was really one of those very special moments when I walked through the castle and the grounds and pictured scenes from that very special movie. It was like I was watching that silly movie with my dad again as a kid but this time I was in the movie. A very special travel moment for me!

Please enjoy this pictorial review of our trip and please don’t be afraid to contact me if you’d like to purchase any of the artwork. I take these images not just for me but for everyone to share and Scotland is truly one of those epic countries.

Take care,

Carey
